Job Details

  • Serve as an administrative assistant to various officials within the Cabinet for Economic Development.
  • Assist in keeping the Office of the Secretary running efficiently and maintain relationships with clients.
  • Perform various office functions and administrative support work of a routine nature, including but not limited to: answering telephone calls, taking messages and communicating information, greeting clients and guests, corresponding, scheduling, making travel reservations, processing travel authorization requests, assisting with cabinet calendars, recording meeting notes and typing up of minutes, preparing any documents required by the duties of the office.
  • Perform other duties as required.
Education preferences, minimum requirements: Sufficient education which would assure knowledge, skills and abilities to accomplish position objectives.

Experience preferences, minimum requirements: Proficient in Word, Excel and Outlook, as well as sufficient experience which would assure knowledge, skills and abilities to accomplish position objectives.

Location: Frankfort, KY
Salary Range: $29,129.28 - $38,588.64
Work Schedule: Full-Time (Mon - Fri; 37.5 hrs/wk)

*Upon appointment, employees in this class may be required to maintain a valid driver’s license and required to drive a licensed vehicle. This status may be necessary for the length of time in this class. If this is necessary, it will be listed in the specific position description for that position.
