Gem Prep is a K- 12 college preparatory school. At least sixty percent of Gem Prep students will graduate high school with an associate’s degree and the remainder will graduate with at least 18 college credits. During the elementary years, Gem Prep believes in building a strong academic foundation to prepare students for the rigorous learning environment in grades 7-12
The fellowship’s goal is to train future Idaho charter school leaders. The fellow will work four days per week as an assistant principal at a Gem Prep school. One day per week will be spent working for the GIS new schools team in tasks related to opening the new school such as responding to parent questions, assisting with writing the new school’s charter petition, recruiting students and marketing the new school.
