The teacher plans and delivers classroom instruction, which consists of both digital and face-to-face components. They are responsible for planning, preparing, and delivering instruction, ensuring the success of all students. Data and collaboration are used to create a powerful learning experience for every student.  Teachers also serve as college preparatory advisors to a small number of 7-12 grade students, teaching and holding students accountable for competencies critical for their success in college and beyond.   Teachers take ownership of the students’ success by providing support to each student they advise.

Full-time Idaho Certified Secondary Teacher with Science 6-12 endorsements to teach both middle and high school courses. Must be endorsed to teach most or all of the following courses: Earth, Life and Physical Sciences, Biology and Chemistry. Position beginning 2019-2020 school year . Located in Meridian, ID. Preferred qualifications: 3 years teaching experience, excellent organization and communication skills, experience with online course management software such as Canvas or Blackboard.

Phase 1:

The items below must be completed before you will be considered for an initial screening interview.

  • Complete and submit this online form.
  • Submit required materials
    • Certification (in- and/or out-of-state) or Certification Status
    • Resume (cover letter not required) 
    • Transcripts for all colleges attended (unofficial accepted)
    • Past Job Performance Authorization Form
    • Three professional letters of reference or placement file for new teachers
  • Note: Please know that if you do not have all required materials, we highly encourage you to submit the documents you have immediately and update your submission as you gather other required documents.  You may update your application with additional required documents by emailing to pmiller@idahoidea.org.
  • If selected you will receive an email invititation for a Video/Written interview.

Phase 2: Video/ Written Interview

  • The Video/Written Interview must be completed within one week of the invitation. Please follow the instructions and prompts as you prepare for this interview.

*Please note that you will have an opportunity to preview the questions and record or re-record any of your answers if necessary, prior to submission.  Your video will be timed, so please make note of the amount of time you have prior to recording your response.

Phase 3: Committee Interview

  • Candidates who are selected for a Committee Interview will be contacted via email or phone to schedule a live interview.
