Rent Like A Champion is an online platform that allows college football fans to rent homes during game weekends near campuses around the country. Based in Chicago, Rent Like A Champion has been growing at a blistering rate, going from just 1 campus to more than 20 in a few short years. We have no plans of slowing down soon, as we will be active in 40 markets around the country for the 2016 football season.
Our team comes from a wide range of backgrounds - startups, accounting, nonprofits, even professional poker. While it may seem like an eclectic mix, there are a few core traits that each of our team members have in common:
- Dependable: In a fast-paced startup environment, there's no room for a middle manager to be checking in to make sure that tasks are getting done. If one of our team members says they'll do something, it gets done. Whether it be a promise to a customer, a coworker, or a partner, we follow through.
- Collaborative: While every team member has a certain part of the business that they own, there are all-hands-on-deck moments where several team members have to help tackle a big problem. In these scenarios, everyone pitches in to get things done.
- Empathetic: Our homeowners are trusting us with their most prized possession - their homes. Our renters are inviting us to be a part of their family reunions, their college homecomings, and other special weekends. Each of our team members realizes how much trust each of these groups is placing in our company, and will go above and beyond to help our guests and homeowners alike.
- Fun: At the risk of sounding arrogant, we are a ridiculously fun bunch. While we do work hard, we also like to have a good time. Company baseball games, bowling nights, Whirlyball, and other Chicago outings are regular occurrences.

Job Details
The Rent Like A Champion Campus Ambassador Program is a great opportunity for students with an entrepreneurial spirit to act as a liaison between RLAC and their college community. The Campus Ambassador will be tasked with spreading the word about Rent Like A Champion to potential renters, with the opportunity to make some good money in the process!
Rent Like A Champion has two main target customer groups - college football superfans who attend several games a year, and parents of current students who travel to a game each Fall while visiting their children. As a current student, you will be able to help us better reach each of these groups.
In the Campus Ambassador role, you will spend your time sharing RLAC with student groups, fraternities, and sororities - people who may have family visiting who would like to rent a home. Additionally, you will find ways to get in touch with recent graduates who may be returning to campus via alumni email lists, your personal network, and other mediums. This role will rely heavily on great written and verbal communication skills.
As a Campus Ambassador, you will be given a unique discount code that will save any renter who uses it $50. Each time that code is used, you will earn $100 - it's as simple as that! We will have special bonus opportunities throughout the Fall, giving you the opportunity to earn even more.
An ideal Campus Ambassador is:
- Enrolled in full-time undergraduate/ post-graduate study
- Available ~10 hours per month to spend on RLAC ambassador program work
- Excited to work with a young, fast-growing start-up
- Able to self-motivate, set and obtain goals, and maintain an excited attitude
- Involved with student activities and organizations around campus
